AshleyandBoysPsalm 13:1-6

Oh Lord, How long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? 2 How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? 3 Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. 4 Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying “we have defeated him” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. 6 I will sing to the Lord because he is good to me.

-Today, Lord I come to you broken and defeated-

Today nothing is new. People are sick and hurting, they are sad, and People are drowning in sorrow, stress, and worry. But today, I feel for all the people with anguish and emptiness in their souls. All those who need hope and a glimpse of light at the end of the long dark tunnel.

Lord, I come to you physically crying because the devil is attacking me from almost every angle. I hurt for you who are facing struggles that are so much bigger than them, they are bigger than me. But GOD is bigger than any problem.

In the Psalm, David is calling out to God begging him to save him, he feels all alone with a huge problem, one that he can’t conquer. He had faith in God and he knew God was his warrior. (God IS our warrior)

“Oh praise the Lord our mighty warrior
Praise the Lord the glorious one
By his hand we stand in victory
By his name we’ve overcome”

Unhindered- Song of Moses

How many of us out there feel hopeless and unworthy of any love right now? My heart hurts for you. I want us to always remember that God is always there, he will never leave us. He is quiet sometimes, but he will never abandon us.

Though the storms of hell pursue
In darkest we worship you
You divide the raging seas
In Death to life you safely lead

-Song of Moses-

The devil wants you to feel like you are alone and no one cares, that could not be more false. He is the enemy, he is here to kill, steal, and destroy. The devil wants you to think God has left you.

I know who goes before me
I know who stands behind
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side

The one who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side

-Chris Tomlin: Whom Shall I fear-

Never allow the enemy to win.
